I have been a huge fan of Voltron since 1984. When you guys brought Voltron back to life last year I couldn't imagine anything better... Until now with the release of Voltron volume 2! I can already tell that this is going to be an amazing story arc. The cover of the first issue alone, brings quite the punch and excitement before even beginning to read! Therefore, I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my child’s imagination’s heart for doing such a great job with the story and art of Voltron. Keep up the unbelievable work!

Thanks Kevin, it’s been a load of fun here as well. It's a lot like rediscovering toys you forgot you had and getting to play with them again for a living!
Wow. That’s all I have to say. Just wow. This is the best comic I’ve read in years. The art is fantastic and so’s the writing. Kudos to Dan and EJ and Clint and Clayton and Ben and Crank and the intern at the water cooler and anybody else I forgot. I can’t wait to see what happens next with Vehicle Voltron and Lion Voltron going at it.
Josh Lipowsky
Josh, you should encourage the interns to just stand around the WC like that, it’s bad news I tell ya’. Thanks for the kind words, keep on readin!
Best story so far!

Meant to drop you guys a line back when I finished issue 5 of the last series. It was fabulous, darlings. And I’m highly pleased that you’ve been able to expand it into a continuing series.
It is, however, 3 a.m. now, so I’ll merely paste in my commentary to some friends. Because I liked this issue. *g*
So... Wow. The end was unexpected. I was groaning and rolling my eyes when the ship crashed. “Gosh,” said I, “They're already starting the stupid ‘Princess Allura gets a boyfriend who turns out to be a bad guy’ plots.”
Boy, was I wrong.
Sven? Cool as heck.
Allura? Also darn cool. I love her standing up to the Galaxy Garrison guy. Made me happy.
Keith? Needs to find Scott Summers, and have a long discussion on who’s life is worse. If Dave Creegan’s along, they may have to play poker, or three-way pool.
The rest of them were ok. Coran was irritating, Pidge is still a twit, Hunk was nearly non-existent. And I liked Merla. Heh. Heh. Heh.
But Sven still flonqing rocked. Duuuude.
Oh! And I liked the underground city. This makes a lot of logical sense, for a planet that’s been constantly under attack for the last eon (or whatever).
Thank you, and keep up the good work!
Lyss
That’s a whole lotta letter there Lyss. Neat to know we were able to surprise you!
I would like to see a miniseries featuring all the Power Rangers of the past and present teaming up with Voltron in each issue, then the final issue could be triple sized and have the combined power of all Power Rangers and Voltron, also you could put in Stealth Voltron too! Oh yeah I told Pidge that you got in his email account, so expect Hunk to come seeing you soon!
Time to be evil!!
George Rodd
Evil indeed. Despite the fun that could ensue, I just don't see a Zord in Voltron’s future due to licensing concerns, etc. But hey, stranger things have happened!
Thank you so much for producing such a great book.
I am a long-time Voltron fan and I always feel a wretched disappointment when seeing animation and/or comics that fail to deliver. But Voltron continues to meet all expectations and even more. I appreciate the differences in the re-telling since your readers have grown up, and so have their critical tastes. I was hoping Voltron wouldn't be cheesy or one-dimensional, but you’ve succeeded in bringing creativity and a more developed plot with its older readers in mind. After all, what's the joy in reading something you can watch if it’s exactly identical. Great thanks for the beautiful artwork and the complex presentation of its characters. And thank you for novel subplots that maintain believability but were never presented from the show. Keep it up guys, we're thirsting for more.
Yohan
Dan and Marie are really delivering the goods, no? Thanks for the kind words Yohan!
First, I'll say that I was a huge fan of the *original* anime series. I say original because the later, CG series was, well . . . Such derogatory terms are bet6left unwritten.
I was thrilled and a bit concerned when I heard you were going to start this title. I thought of it like I thought of it like I thought about the Lord Of The Rings movies: “They have either buggered it or done it really well.” Well, like the movies, you did not bugger it; not by a long shot.
The artwork is excellent. I will say, however, that I prefer the depiction of Princess Allura in issues 1-5 over that in issue 0. On the other hand, I like “0’s” version of the Castle Of Lions a bit better. This is only my personal preference, though. Both are excellent.
The story, while slightly different from the original, is extraordinary. My sincere congratulations to Mr. Jolley on a job very well done. One of his innovations I particularly liked was that the five Lions and Voltron are cyberneticly controlled.
Marvelous idea!
One thing that always bothered me in the anime series was their uniforms. Why, If Keith's Lion was black, and Lance’s was red, were their uniforms reversed? I am hoping you will be addressing this.
I truly hope this will be an ongoing series.
Once again, job well done.

Well Tim, at this point you’ve no doubt seen how the matter of the suits was handled ... sometimes you just have to go with what's in available in your size.
