Since Joining the Voltron fandom one of my new favrioute pass times has been creating reproductions of official posters. It's a morally questionable hobby but since I'm not selling anything and I'm only using them as room decor then it's probably fine.

Today I'm going to teach you how to make your own version of the SDCC Voltron long poster. The original version of this poster is actually multiple smaller posters that you could get from attending Voltron events at SDCC, while a long version was created very few were produced and they were only given out to members of the press.

As a UK based loser living in the boonies none of these options are easy for me to obtain, so I made my own. Below are some instruction on how you can do the same.

When completed you're final poster will be around 5.3 feet long and compromised of 5 A4 sized segments. .

Acessing a printer maybe difficult if you don't have a decent one at home here are some options, if your a student use your schools printer (College and University students may find this option easier than Secondary/Highschool students), If you have a job and you won't get in trouble use the company printer if your unemployed bug someone who is to do this step for you and your final option got to a print shop this should be your last resort as these places can be expensive and normally have a fee just to print in the first place.

The files provided will have you print 1 A4 piece of paper and then 2 in A3, you will also need access to a paper guillitine or a pair of sissors.

Right click on the images below and download them and the print them out, make sure you print them the right size.

Carefully cut the bottom parts of the A3 prints you will need to cut along where the artwork cuts off at the top.

When you have cutted out each segment trim them all to a uniformed size, this will take a while I recommend using a ruler to mark out where your going to cut if your obsessed with perfection like me.

Between each segment is a little big of overlap use that to line up the image when attaching each segment together with glue or tape to have a seemless transition between each image.

You should hopefully have all 5 pieces attacked together to form a very long poster. Take your time the slower you are when cutting and gluing paper together the harder it is to make a mistake.

If possible print the images as they are don't open an application like word to print them in as it might mess up the sizing, If you have access to an art program I recommend making a black and white test print and then using it to fit any size inconsistancys caused by your printer.

If having a 53 feet long Voltron poster is too much then you could experiment with printing the A3 pieces in A4 and the A4 piece in A5.

This is the most important step. when you have fully assembled your poster by attaching pieces together get a friend or family member to help you hang it up, due to t's size this is an impossible task for a single person unless you have really really really long arms. Find an appopriate place for your poster mines above my bed and with the help of your recruited friend/family member have you hold one side and then have them hold the other when its attached to the wall, I used blu tack but if your american you could use a push pin you can readjust or add more pins/blutack to keep the poster strongly secure.

When your done you should have a poster that looks a little like this :) make sure to put it some where cool!!!!
